To all job seekers out there. Don't be afraid to ask a sighted person to help you look. They can read newspaper ads for you and perhaps would be willing to take you for an interview. For the person in tamal Nadu, you might try your college's career-counseling department if they have one. It's a good idea to learn braille. There's nothing like knowing how to read. You really have to put yourself out there. If you can't find paid employment, try a volunteer position. That's what I did, and now I'm a soon-to-be Sociology intern. Often volunteering is a great way to get a foot in the door. Also, If you're a social worker, (something I'd like to be one day), you've chosen a good field as far as blindness is concerned. If your state has a program for disabled individuals, check it out. It's always okay to ask for help in this area. Best of luck, and please write back with any questions. bw
